Created at Bennington College in the spring of 2024, The Nico + Mira Show was a collaboration between Mira Fowler and myself. We wanted to create a duet that challenged what we felt was often a self-serious and supervised dance practice. In doing this, we developed an abstracted narrative of a pop star — following the swift rise to fame, the crushing pressure of the public eye, and all of the voyeuristic absurdity that follows.

The Nico + Mira Show was entirely self produced, directed, choreographed and edited (with help and support from our friends).

The fall from fame was as sudden as the rise. The highest highs, the lowest lows. From brilliant sparkling stardom to the darkest depths of our minds, the life of a celebrity isn’t for the faint of heart.
